Curious about electric bikes? Why not try one before you buy one!

This is how we at Big Bam eBikes describe ebikes to newcomers: it is a standard bicycle with superpowers! It looks, steers, and pedals just like a regular bike, but uses an integrated motor and battery to amplify your natural pedaling. It HELPS you pedal, it does not pedal for you!  If you can ride a regular bike, you can ride an e-bike. Most have a simple “low-to-high” setting (often 1–5) to control how much help the motor gives you.

Here are a few things to think about…

Ebikes (electric bikes) are our future! Electric bikes are environmentally friendly. They don’t produce any emissions, so you can feel good about riding one knowing that you’re not contributing to air pollution.

Electric bikes are very efficient. You can go much further on an electric bike than you could on a traditional bike because you’re getting a boost from the motor. Many ebike batteries can take you up to 45 miles on one charge!

Electric bikes are easy to ride! Anyone can hop on an electric bike and start pedaling without feeling like they’re going to get tired quickly.

All of our rentals include a helmet, a bike lock, a basket on the back to carry your belongings, a 20 minute ebike operation and safety orientation, and quick look-over of the Legacy Trail map.
