Additional Technical Notes

The Aventure 3 ships as a Class 2 ebike with both pedal assist and throttle functionality. The throttle can also be unplugged and removed for riding in areas where only Class 1 ebikes are allowed or where throttles are prohibited.

Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX5-rated standard. An IPX5 rating means the bike is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction, allowing for riding in light to moderate rain or through small puddles. However, IPX5 does not mean waterproof. Aventon ebikes are not designed for full submersion, and pressure washers or high-pressure sprayers should not be used because they can damage sensitive components.

Maximum range is determined using PAS 1 on flat terrain with a rider weight of 160 lbs.
